BW posted 54 mins ago that the police say no drug or alcohol or other paraphernalia found at the scene but they are still calling it unexplained. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

I'm kinda wondering heart attack because everyone one is so surprised. I wouldn't have thought drugs with him.

I had to stop myself from replying because he really really likes attention of any kind. I blew up his stupid avatar. You that fucking thing actually says Dave Wight Stamp Of Approval?! I repeat. I couldn't get into that Strange Planet stuff. But I agree with blowing DW away just for commenting
His comments on the Mike Howe story weren't as bad as I thought they'd be but it does appear that he only discovered MC last year by mistake, however he quickly made them A League. He's such a legend...or is that a leg end

You ought to be careful saying that. There is a show, black comedy about a hitman, on FX (because Aussie stations wouldn't buy it) called Mr. Inbetween. Before he was Mr. Inbetween he was The Magician and back then he was nearly my neighbour!

If you're bored and can get FX have a look for Mr. Inbetween, you wont find the Magician anywhere but YT now, but Mr. Inbetween is a fun, sometimes violent, crazy story made on a small budget about a guy who will do just about anything for money. There is some great scene and story arcs in it.

I cut out my cable a few years ago. But I'm sure Netflix will get it at some point and I can binge the whole thing. Maybe Hulu.

Does Testament ever send out an R.I.P.? Alex seems to about almost everyone, but didn't on Howe. Overkill did. And I've seen them do it before. I'm a little annoyed at how many haven't written anything.

Not that I've seen. Alex is pretty vocal on who he dislikes but I haven't seen Testament or Anthrax say anything about Howe. Exodus dropped one today but I haven't seen anyone else. But then I'm not sure who I follow any more.

Hatriot and Anthrax did drop one for the drummer of Slipknot though.

That just means that nothing obvious was found around the body. We won't know for sure until they perform an autopsy/toxicology report to see what was in his system.

Unfortunately many public figures deaths are initially reported as "heart attack" or such (like Dave Brockie) but later demonstrated to be from substances. Not saying that's what happened in this case, but I wouldn't read too much into the initial police assessment.

That's what made me bring it up. You'd think Anthrax would have said something about Howe. But I guess kissing Metal Church's ass isn't as potentially profitable as Slipknots. And wtf Testament. nothng?

Clearly I can only speculate. But the police report just solidifies what I think. This guy came out of retirement after 20 years and went directly into an album and tour and pulled it off with energy and a powerful voice. And then did it a couple more times. If he was a druggy those 20 years would have really taken a noticeable toll. I'll be shocked if it's not natural.
