The what's going on in Thrash thread

I will as soon as I find a worthy vocalist, like Redfly said NO MUNROE!Wait a minute Slammed ,maybe you could pull it off!!!

Once upon a time I might have thought so, but now days I know I couldn't. :)
I only found out the other day when I was watching a YT clip of Badlands that all this time despite having the lyrics in the CD booklet and singing the song when I hear it, I've been singing one line wrong all this time. No wonder I can't sing anymore :)

Lol. I hate when that happens. Once you hear it you have no idea how you had it wrong that whole time.At least that's my experience. Happened to me with a Hendrix song. Heard it my whole life on classic rock radio. I thought he was saying. Hey Angel, where you going with that gun in your hand? And then one day... I'm stupid.
In my defense, I never really thought about the lyrics either.

I never thought about the lyrics for Badlands either. I first heard that song as a video clip, then bought the album but because of the delay between the two I'd seen the video clip heaps of times. I guess from all those times I just didn't think I needed to see the words because my brain told me I already knew them.

The thing that annoys me now is that "As the world awakes me so hard my very heavy chains" doesn't make sense yet for some reason I kept singing it.

Mike Howe's death has been ruled a suicide. :(

I don't know why metal has such a problem with suicide and drugs/alcohol deaths.

I knew when they say "the family asks for privacy" it's always suicide or a substance death.

He was a true talent and this should've NEVER happened.

I'm sick and tired of seeing all the best metal musicians dying before their time for these stupid reasons. MANY people would've loved to help Mike through whatever was troubling him.

"Blessing in Disguise" was my first MC album. I saw the "Badlands" video and LOVED that song. I was playing in a little band with some kids in my neighborhood. I remember my guitarist friend saying to me "my uncle is coming over tomorrow. You'd like him .... he looks like the bassist for MC." :) We were big fans. I played that album over and over while playing NES.

My favorite songs from Howe were "Fake Healer", "Powers That Be", "The Spell Can't be Broken" ... OK, I'm going to have to list most every song on that album so I'll just stop here.

This is an awesome video if you haven't seen it yet. RIP Mike Howe

Seems to me there is still a truth there that hasn't been revealed. It's easy to call it suicide, it's easy to make judgement on the words offered, but typical of Blabber the story is not all there. Usually it's not all there because Blabber only go for the headline but in this case I kind of hope it's because they don't have the full story! That's between Mike and his family, no one else and the reason it's between them only is because too many fuckwits on the internet try and guess what happened then claim it as fact.
