You know for all of the shit talking in this forum I keep waiting to here the "awesome thing" everyone has written or recorded. I'm still waiting on at least half of the forum including some major advice dispensers.
I'm positive I've written, recorded, and generally been involved in some catastrophically embarrassing shit in my life and I guess I should just count myself lucky that my "friends" didn't put it on youtube.
That's all well and good, but ligten up mang.
We've all been involved with embarassingly bad musical projects, but when you graduate to doing stuff half decent you immediately have the right to look at it and lol, at least IMO.
And if all the lolling doesn't kill said project from members going reclusive from the embarassment, it will only make them stronger.
My first solo project was bad, I mean fuckin BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD, and I got totally ridiculed for writing such terrible music. Almost made me just go "fuck this *give up*" but I didn't give up, every time I wrote something new I made it vastly better than the preceding song to just give a big fuck you to the naysayers.
Took me another 3 years to get there, but it was worth it.
Either way, I get the feeling you're making mountains out of a molehill. Yes, it's hypocritical on all of our parts for finding it funny, but it IS funny, right? Right. The video wasn't, all that "WAIT FOR IT ITS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFUNNY LOLOLOL" is the equivalent of a "WOULDNT IT BE FUNNY IF..." 'joke,' but either way, it's funny and you need to lighten up.
