thepaddy andC O B .

I enjoy them. Their first 2 cds are too over the top for me though. I know a lot regard them as their best. Maybe the bands creative, music peak but at the same time the music annoys me. I like all aspects and think the band is realizing things do not need to be overdone every second through the cd.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

CoBs latest came at just the right time for me; I needed something heavy but simple/to the point and AYDY? fit the bill.

CoB are a good band but AYDY isnt very good FtR hatebreeder and something wild are loads better, this conversation has happened a million times.

To be fair, they were my first metal band, so I do respect them for that (and I still do like Alexi's vocals). But listening to them now (and melodeath in general)... makes me wanna puke. INCREDIBLY IRRITATING rythm guitar and drumming. The keyboards are sickeningly cheesy and the guitar solos are pointless wankery. Every now and then, a mildly cool harmony comes in, but even then, it pales in comparison to pretty much any half-decent band. Their melodies are also incredibly simplistic, just messing around with the high e string. Very, very easy to write (being a guitarist myself I would know). Just tremolo the high e and hit notes between 15-20 frets and you'll get a COB song. Shoot, I could write a better song.

Children Of Bodom never played Melodeath. You're talking out of your ass for the most part.

Give me a break, power/speed/melodeath... there's a lot of crossover. Anyways, that's irrelevant, you get my drift.
