One thing is for sure...Therion are masters of the RIFF. Just writing slabs of guitarwork that own in the purest form. See 1:13 of "Voyage of Gurdjieff" or the opening of "Symphony of the Dead" or 0:48 of "Feuer Overture" or 0:56 of "Beyond Sanctorum" or the riff set at 4:22 of "Dawn of Perishness."

You should check out TOF-The Trinity on their new album. That song owns, and there's some awesome riffage, especially Kristian's arpeggiated high-note riff beneath Mats singing "Open the door!"

Kristian Niemann is phenomenal.
