hey guys, ive been messing with samples and things like thatt. and i have a pretty decent sound, i just want them thick, not a lower pitch, but thicker. i guess for the snare the easiest way would be blending? but what about toms?

I find using a subtle clipper on my toms makes them a little more distorted and gives them a thicker sound.

Boosting around 200-250hz can help here (I like a low shelf at 200hz personally) but it really depends on the frequency content of the drum you're eq'ing.

Mixing in a fatter sounding sample works too.
