I know it's been out for ages, but I finally bought it the other day.

Silverchair's "Diorama" is one damn good album. Excellent stuff.

An obligatory :headbang: for the Newcastle lads, who I haven't really paid attention to since "Tomorrow".

Might give Neon Ballroom a go one day but I doubt I'll bother with the other two - didn't much like the singles from them. Maybe I'll listen to snippets of mp3s and judge them that way like Troops does with Def Leppard albums.

I shall add it to my "if I'm really desperate" list. Then again, there's nothing on my "I feel like buying something today" list so who knows. I hate it when I feel I have to buy something but can't find anything, because that means it's a wasted trip to the CD store and considering I have to walk an extra half a block or so to JB it's a real shame.

What the fuck have I been saying for the past year!!

Diarama is solid gold motherfucka!

It really is a great album. Every single song... with the possible exception of One Way Mule, is awesome. The song writing is superb.

My faves are Across the Night, Without You, TUNA IN THE BRINE :headbang:, Luv Your Life, Your My Fave thing, and after all these years.

Daniel Johns is a genious for the things that he did with this album! Tuna in the Brine has some of my favorite musical moments in a song... expecially the orchestration in the 'Desperate for change... and changing everything' part. I love it!!

I bought Neon Ballroom on Sunday. I love Emotion Sickness. Reminds me very much off somehitng from Diarama... except that it has very dark themes and undertones in it... It just sounds mean... but in a nice way :)

But still, my favorite Silverchair song is Miss you Love. That is such a beautiful song. And it was produced by Kev Shirley for some trivia. That is a perfect pop/rock ballard style grunge song.

Snippets rock :) It's all you need to hear what an album sounds like. I mean obviously you can't say something is brilliant from snippets because you have to hear it all, but you can definitely tell if you don't like something by them.

Blitzy is right, if you like Diorama you will love Neon Ballroom, its a much much much much better album IMHO, and then Freakshow and Frogstomp are better still :)

I miss the Jets :(

But on the shitchair subject No Ballroom is their best album IMO because they finally got away from the nirvana in pajamas image which shit me about them :D

Frogstomp is better than anything Nirvana did. Freakshow stomps over Frogstomp (ha!.... erm...) with its greatness and is one of the best albums ever, and Neon Ballroom is great but not as great as the first 2 albums, still legendary though :)

Then they turned silverchair into Daniel Johns Lonely Hearts Club Band... :)

Yeah No Ballroom is the best thing they have don e IMO. It had real torment in the music unlike the fake shit DJ was writing before, but thats not to say that frogshit and fuck show aren't very good albums, just No Ballroom is the peak of their career, maybe the other 2 shoulda kept going in a metal capacity and left DJ to his mopeyness
