Maybe, I'm late on this, or maybe I just didn't want to be considered a complete fuckin' fan boy, but "Pale Haunt Departure" is in my All-Time Top 5 records. As everyone knows, music connects on so many different levels. For me, the melodies and musicianship are very important. As important for me is the lyrical content, let's face it, if the artist didn't care about lyrics he/the band would just do an instrumental album. This piece of musical art connects to me on all levels. And that for me is a masterpiece. Thank you Novembers Doom. Now, if that makes me a "fuckin' fanboy" so be it. This just had to be said.:kickass:

In terms of connecting, I'm sure "PHD" could be a soundtrack to my life. I must reiterate strongly, when music does this it's fuckin' cosmic, man. "Have you done enough in your life, enough to base a movie on?" Jim Morrison.

I started with TWTF one year ago and i`m still loving it. TPHD (the only ND disc wich you could get in germany without problems in finding it^^) made me a completly fanboy. But atm i cant stop listening to TNR... it`s godlike imo! :)

(If my english suck... plz excuse me :p )

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I don't have a personal favorite disc, though TPHD is probably the one I'm most pleased with overall, and TNR is right up there too (as Paul said).

Working with Dan was great, for sure. As you can hear, the results worked out well! :)

it's funny you'd mention it, i'm listening to it now :)

i'd say it's one of my favorite CDs, and my favorite out of the band's discography... i can't wait till i buy the book (i'll get to it eventually...but right now i'm banned from the credit cards for a little while :( )

The Knowing was the first one I heard when I was writing reviews. I liked it and quickly got the back catalog until TWTF came out. Although all are very solid and get their share of play time, TNR was more immediately gratifying and has stuck with me. I can't wait to see what you guys do in the future...

I got The Pale Haunt Departure today on random, I just rememberd the name from some forum and I knew that it was death/doom so I took it. And after listening to it once Im fucking sold, it's damn awsome :p

This piece of music connected with me on a level that I wasn't sure even existed within me. And that was on the first listen. Subsequent listens only revealed more and more. Both lyrically and musically this thing captured me. It is/could be a "soundtrack" for the insane life I've lead so far. This music is in "rarified" air man. Just keep listening. This music has depth. And that is very important to me.
