Are you using Modern Recording Techniques and Sound Recording Practice on your course? For college (I have studied audio engineering since leaving high school) and my first year in uni they were invaluable sources of information.

The Miles Huber is pretty cool, got it a while ago. (Modern Recording Techniques)
 
Even tho me and moonlapse have that book (they love thier "mike" techniques), it might be smart for us to get something like that for another referance. Thanks for letting us know about it.
