So, tonight I was messing around with my SSD samples and a few of the other samples I've collected from around here, as well as SD2 and the metal foundry, and I think I'm getting some okay sounds.

I think the second one is cool how aggressive it is! IT has a bit too bright transient's but sounds sweet though! I'd like to hear it with all instruments to really say more!

Thanks, guys. I actually don't have any transient plugins active, I think I may have just compressed the original samples too much and EQed the slate shells a bit brightly. I'll work on a whole mix soon.

you can also tame the high peaks with gclip for first aid.

just saw this. not bad of a track. what i do suggest for drums is to try to adjust the attack or volume on the toms to make it sound more realisitic. i dont know much about ssd because im only using Reason 3 still for drums. i must upgrade. keep it up though
