Down - Down II: A Bustle in Your Hedgerow
Anthrax - We've Come for You All
Testament - The Very Best Of
Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
Audioslave -self titled
Metallica - St. Anger (winces)
Zwan - Mary Star of the Sea (yeah, old school Pumpkins fan)
Led Zeppelin - DVD (yeah, not an album per se, but all different performances from How the West Was Won)
--------
I also d/l The White Stripes Elephant. I think the neo-garage scene is mostly a lot of bullshit, but all the hype and image aside, the White Stripes actually write honest-to-god good rock'n'roll songs.
Zwan was kinda disapointing - Billy Corgan has always been an excellant songwriter (some missteps aside), and these songs were obviously well-crafted... but they just lacked a certain brillance Corgan had in his best work. Weird, especially since he's surrounded by far more talented musicians now.
St. Anger... I can listen to it, enjoy it, bang the head a bit, but at the end of the day... I look through the rest of my metal and just see so many worthier albums that didn't sell a million off the bat (We've Come for you all anyone?!??)
got to get more Testament!
