Naturally, some time ago - but a couple of nights ago, she brought up her disappointment that I didn't like it, so it seems to be important to her. Yes, I'm aware of how strange that seems, and I sure as hell don't get it, but the fact is we're really crazy about each other, and I want her to be happy, so this is where the dilemma stems from. That said, something does seem to be amiss if tickling is that important to her, but like I said, we'll work it out!

If I was in such a situation I too wouldn't be able to put her down in such a way if she genuinely enjoys it.

What might work (whilst being quite a sissy move, but hey, better than being an asshole and creating an awkward moment which might create complications) is whilst pretending to like it, one time stop her and tell her something like: whilst you appreciate and enjoy the little tickling sessions you have together, it causes some pain in the ribs or a headache or some shit. If she respects you, which she does by the way you're talking about her, she'd back off and find another way to enjoy herself with you during play-time.
