Listening to their Window Dressing album right now. Awesome mix of Rush, DT, Enchant, King's X and their own flavor.

I never figured out exactly why they never clicked with me. It just seemed they didn't have a lot of depth to the production and that most of the tunes didn't have a strong core, just sort of wandering. In the beginning they were pure Rush but ended up more of a light rock DT with the singer channeling LaBrie. It's been a good seven years since I've listened, so maybe it's about time to dust them off...

Now here's a band that disappeared off the face of the earth about five years ago! I think their albums are pretty cool. They kind of remind me of what it would sound like if James LaBrie fronted the Rush of the past twenty years. Unfortunately, the one time I saw them (Powermad 1999! Dear God, I'm getting old!), everyone but the bassist actually managed to have a negative stage presence. I noticed myself thinking, "Why am I not digging these guys? The music that's coming out of the speakers sounds cool. Oh, now I get it! These guys look as if they don't even enjoy what they're doing!" After watching some live videos of the band on Youtube about a year ago, I came to the conclusion that the one show I saw must have been the exception.

According to the band's website, they are currently recording a new album. It looks like they're shooting for financial support from the fans. If you ask me, waiting five years to let people know that your not-so-popular band still exists probably isn't a good idea if you're lacking the funds to release another album. Nonetheless, I hope they can pull it off.

Stay metal. Never rust.

Big fan of Tiles, as they were "local" back where I grew up in Detroit. Can't even begin to count how many times I have seen them live..... Definitely sounds like you caught them on an off-night, as they are normally very solid live.

"Fence the Clear" is my favorite disc of theirs, as it seems like every album since then tries to recapture what they did with that album. "Window Dressing"
was pretty flat, but I thought they rebounded nicely on "Fly Paper".

Great band, I liked the first 3 albums and not what I'd call a huge "prog" fan. I'm more Power Metal. Reasonable Doubt was one of my favorite songs.

I tried pushing these guys some years ago, but they just don't get much respect here. Still hoping that they keep producing...

I saw them in Milwaukee awhile back...really good technically, but not much excitement on stage. Might've been because there was maybe only 15 people or so in the place...

Here is Lord Divine's lastest album "Facing Chaos" (Diego Valdez on vocals, as guests Mark Boals (Yngwie Malmsteen) & Julian Barrett (Tarja live).
