Titanic

The only good thing about the movie was the end when the ship sank(which would have been horrifying to be on).

The real story; few are privy to the Truth.

Reasons I hate this movie :

1. Too fucking long
2. Too much of a chick flick (and I'm a chick !)
3. Shitty dialogue
4. Sappy ass music :yuk:
5. It just blows - plain and simple .

Ninja Master has spoken .

You blow, plain and simple.

How was it a chick flick? Because it was about love? Screw you.

It's the cool thing right now to hate Titanic, so I'm not even surprised you'd bash it. Everyone is now embarassed that they went to see it like 20 times in theatres. And every time I talk to someone who liked Titanic then and doesn't now, after they watched it again they changed their mind.

Everyone involved in that movie worked so hard, and it was an incredible production, nothing will ever top it. Star Wars didn't, Lord of the Rings didn't, etc, etc.

By the way, you have no taste in music, so you saying the music was bad means nothing.

The ad homs are flying but c'mon don't be so defensive! I liked Titanic for the most part (mainly the visuals!) but I sure as hell don't care if everyone else hates it.

One thing tho...It in no way compares to starwars or lord of the rings! :tickled:

I don't know man, I thought Star Wars and Lord of the Rings were quadruple times cheesier. Titanic just rips my heart out, what can I say, I have a thing for ice and shipwrecks... And Kate Winslet ;)

I wouldn't have gotten so defensive if she simply said she didn't like the movie and stated her reasons, but she was so stupid about it and attacked it like a 14 year old boy would.

Starwars - definate cheesefest, but LOTR was quite an amazing accompliment, i think. It was well made, well directed, flowed beautifully and the visuals were breathtaking.

Titanic has amazing visuals, the scenes of the ship sinking etc are all quite brilliant, and the love story is also interesting but it seemed flat, contrived and cliched at every turn as far as I was concerned.

It's so easy to piss you off Susperia - you think I would give a damn if someone bashed one of my favorite films ? NO !!! Because I would still know it was a great movie . Titanic ( AND the Celine Dion song ) have been rammed down my throat ever since it came out and now I hate all of it . That's my opinion and I stand by it .

BTW - I NEVER saw Titanic in the theater :p

I agree with you for the most part, except I can't get a rise out of Susperia for nothing. And I act like a 14 year old boy (on my good days).

Just say something about Titanic or meat eating , it's sure to work :D

I think Final Product summed it up. Lots of good visuals, love story a little lame, and I hate it when a "historical" movie is made and Hollywood pours a little too much off-story into it. It was just too thick. But they had to showcase their movie stars to get people into the theatres (and no I didn't see it there either).

I really don't like DiCaprio or Winslett, but she looked good enough in that flick that I'd have busted the shocks on that car if I was in it with her. (Incomming attack from Susperia for that comment, fortifications underway) :saint:

Leonardo DiCaprio is dreamy.

I am not attracted to that man at all, if that's what you're assuming.

Christian Bale should have taken the part.

Oh yeah and Kate Winslet (one t) is the most gorgeous woman. I would love to get in that car too man. I've never seen a woman look more cherubic or beautiful as she did as Rose.

Christian bale would have been sublime. Kate Winslet is always most beautiful, the point about her scene in the car is (IMHO) dead on :)

my main prob with the titanic movie is the length
it's got some kick-ass scenes but a lot of the scenes were soo fucking boring
what i would have done to make the movie better would have been to just edit out the boring scenes
i remember that when it went to video the vhs had to be on 2 seperate tapes that's like a whole 3 hours, right???
i would have edited it down to 2 hours or maybe just 1 and a half cuz then it could have been a non-stop action flick i swear to god you see every single individual person die seperately
