? To C4 users. Freeware C4 substitutes ?

I can't afford 400$ for Waves C4 at this time.

So i just downloaded these freeware multiband compressors:

C3

GranComp3

GeneComp3

T-SLEDGE

Can you please download and compare them to your C4 and tell me which one is the best and if the difference between the best one and C4 is really worth 400$ ?

I tried all the freewares when searching for an alternate for the C4 a few monthes ago and guess what ? None was good If you have a Powercore there's a plugin that's nearly as good as the C4 though, or if you have an UAD-1 also.

The GVST plug-ins also require "gdiplus.dll".

Mmmm, didn't try this one... I don't remember the names of the ones I tested, but C3 was one of them and even when not compressing you could hear it's bad effect on sound (the crossover).

Thanks for your recommendation TheStoryteller - thanks to that wave visualisation window Gmulti is easier to set than other plugins
