Before I listened to it, I had an idea in my head of how this would sound..... I was sadly disappointed. I cannot understand why they didn't use Alex to sing the chorus, instead of Liv Kristine. Her voice is too darn wimpy for this chorus. I think they could have pulled this off and been better than BG's version, but this did not do it.

The Leave's Eyes version seems a simpler rendition with almost a fragile sound to it. For most of it they rely on the vocals to carry it and those come across as too cloying to me. They fill in the drums and guitars a bit more towards the end, but it isn't enough.

The Blind Guardian versions seems stronger, fuller. The folk melody line played on the guitar is meatier and less "sweet". Just a much more powerful version.
