to power attenuate or not?

I was thinking that it sucks that I can only use the windsor with the master knob a somewhere like 0.5-0.75 and its REALLY sensitive. Would getting an attenuator like thd hotplate be beneficial? And since you can drive the power section harder, how does it affect the tone?

I remember Ola posted some clips of his Savage through the HB with and without his attenuator doing its thing (think it was a Hot Plate), and there was a slight difference in fullness in favor of the one with the Hot Plate; heck of a price for a comparatively small improvement though IMO...

I asked directly from THD about using hotplate with Mode Four and they replied:

"Can't use them on solid state power sections, only tube. Sorry."

Well yeah, it'd be pointless with an SS section anyway
