I know many of you wear band t-shirts, so I'm curious...would any of you be interested in a composer t-shirt? This is an idea that's sort of been tossed around between me and a few other people recently, so it's somewhere in the future if it does come to fruitition...however, it'd be nice to poll the potential audience before starting any sort of potentially money wasting process. That said...I don't have a picture yet, nor do I have photoshop, so I'll have to wait for someone else included in the project to help with that. However...to give a general idea of the shirt patterns, it would be something like this as a starting point:

Richard Wagner
Picture of Wotan, or Thor holding hammer, etc.
The Ring of the Nibelungen

Sergei Rachmaninoff
picture of the painting The Isle of the Dead
The Isle of the Dead

etc.

Any interest in the idea? Any possibility of buying this sort of thing if I can get the idea off the ground.....?

Let me know; I appreciate the feedback.

I also have one planned that would...be certainly fit the composer's (Wagner's) wishes, however, that would be more of a limited edition type design to promote to ANUSites.

I wear band shirts and I think it's quite a funny idea in a way but who would wear them? Or would buy more than one? One is nice, it seems to be as fun as some fun shirt but not alot people would buy it for serious reasons, I fear.

Well the problem is that in most cases the artists have not dictated any visual representations of their music, so what would be on the cover would be totally arbitrary- this is actually the reason most classical covers suck. The only thing I could think of otherwise would be people's faces, and I really dont want to walk around with Shostakovich or Mahler's face on my chest...

hahaha, we intend to use some good artwork that would in some way be related to the composer's work. (i.e. The painting The Isle of the Dead in relation to Rachmaninoff's piece with the same name)
