Happened to me once, I had 10 K.D. ( divide by 0.289 for USD ) and I was with a lot of people so at the end when the bill came, everyone brought out 1's, quarters, and coins.. I has to pay the whole 10 and I was pissed cause I didn't even know some of the people there.. but I learnt a lesson from it, when the waiter/waitress asks what you want to order, immediately tell him/her that you want a separate cheque, so that you pay for what you eat and are not responsible for anyone else's payments.. it works.
