toby and i decided to go into the woods to find a cryptozoological creature (a cryptid.) possibly the dover demon, since he was spotted in dover, close to my house. we will capture him. hopefully.

1. maglight
2. rope
3. mattock (i don't know what this is but toby says it is, but apparently, it's this tool with a pickaxe on one side, and a digging type tool on the other end. i saw it and thought it was to smash the cryptid in the face, but he says it's to maybe break into a tomb if there is one)
4. duct tape
5. a small cage (habitat.... because we need to start off small, for non-advanced cryptid-hunters)
6. superhero outfits (well, at least me. toby will wear his normal clothes. he says jeans "protect him.)
7. TOOLBOX (wire cutters, screwdrivers, etc.)

NOW I AM ASKING YOU... WHAT ELSE DO YOU THINK WE NEED TO ADD TO THE LIST.

WE WILL BE DEPARTING THE HOUSE AT DAYBREAK.

Mia

Did you catch anything?

Did the MATTOCK come in handy?

I was just also thinking about how, by far, the mattock is the most useful thing in LotW also, and how that's defnitely founded in reality. The game designers were totally cryptid hunters also!

the mattock was used to crack open nuts.

you never know where the cryptids may be hiding, really.

(so we said we would use it to break open tombs. tombs, nuts, that's not too big of a strech. ok fine. shut up.)

i thought the nut gave me this week-long diarrhea which i have been experiencing but after toby researched the nut, it turns out to be non-poisonous.

hey, let's be ghost-hunters from now on.

and i'll collect miniature plastic figures of cryptids instead.

Some nuts, like wild almonds, are deadly poisonous in quantity, but not alone. Perhaps you ate a concentrated almond.

phrase that stands out:
