And question i should have asked first - can i really get better guitar sound with my hardware or its a waste of time? Les Paul > E-MU 1616 > PC

it seems that the E-MU 1616 doesn't have an instrument input. I recommend getting a DI box so you can go Les Paul > DI > E-MU 1616 > PC

this should make it esier to get a good sound
