Those are great discs! The debut live album of Vardis is also called "100 MPH".
A fantastic album! It came with a poster :) I got it when it was released.

A true NWOBHM gem as are the 7" you mention. Enjoy man!

In those days there were not that many woman into metal as far as I can remember. I have always been lucky to have a girlfriend who was/is into metal.

Here's to all the female metalheads

yeah there are hardly any these days..too bad! I've only met few on festivals like Keep it True or Headbangers Open Air. So shirts for us wouldn't sell anyways. You're really lucky with your gf! I don't even have any female friends who like the same music as I do haha. I don't really mind though.

And yes those bands are really great, I really dig nwobhm, shame most of the brilliant stuff is rare and thus damn expensive!

Shit, fuck, shit, fuck! I want that album (but in CD format  ) Great haul, but that purchase alone worth the rest

You know, I never have seen Narita available on cd. I've seen Rock City, their first album, and of course Fire Down Under is readily available (as it should be as one of the truest metal albums of all time). But Narita? Not that I've seen.

I did some research and found out that Narita was the only album they ever released with Capitol Records. FDU was supposed to be a Capitol release, but the band and the label didn't see eye to eye on the final product. Thus, FDU was shopped around and later released on Elektra.

From this tidbit of news I deduce that Capitol still has rights to Narita and hasn't released them to the scads of small labels that are ressurecting some of this old underground music. Maybe it's out of spite. Or maybe there isn't enough of a demand for the album to warrant paying Capitols rights fees. Who knows? I just know it's sad because my old Narita cassette is so worn out I just can't listen to it anymore.

But I can listen to FDU anytime I want! Like now!

I'm heading to London on Monday and I'm gonna go on a vinyl hunt.

I'm looking for

Anthrax - Penikufesin (if I can find it on CD it will be a bonus)
Death Angel - Fall From Grace
The 80's Pantera albums
Vio-Lence - Eternal Nightmare

Wish me luck finding these as I am gonna need it...

You're on my Christmas list Carnut  If you can SS it, I'll be delighted :worship:

@ TSO: "Narita" is available in CD format and not that weird to find (e-Bay) if you're ready to pay for a Japanese import whatever they ask...(I'm not, so I'll wait until a reissue happens :loco: ).

Yeah, no thanks. I paid $30 for the japanese import of the first Alcatrazz album with Yngwie on it. I vowed that was the last time I was gonna pay that much for one cd. (had to have that Alcatrazz though, Yngwie and Graham Bonnet together? Yowza!)

I'm giving myselve an early Christmas treat :-)
bought these vinyls today

220 Volt - 220 Volt
Tsunami - Tsunami
Overkill - Under the influence
Znowhite - Act of god
