Given his presence on the last two Ayreon albums, I would have thought there would have been more talk about Michael Mills and his musical project, Toehider. To be honest, I knew nothing about it until "How Do Ghosts Work?" came up on Spotify. Gotta say that it is pretty catchy.

Also, props to any man who can pull of Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights". It was impressive when Andre Matos did it, but this might be better.

All of his stuff is excellent. Some of it is quirky, some very cheeky, but the dude is insanely talented. All of his stuff is on Bandcamp.

Agree with the previous poster. When Ayreon was releasing the videos for the singers that were going to be on The Source, Michael Mills grabbed my attention so I figured I would check out some of Toehider’s music online. I knew he had appeared on the previous Ayreon disc, but as my least favorite Ayreon disc, the performances just didn’t stick with me.
About 20 minutes later, I had purchased their entire available discography on physical cd from their Bandcamp site, and had tracked down their first album on Ebay. The melodies and music this guy creates is incredible. Queen inspired layered harmonies, power metal, acoustic pop songs, and straight up weirdness are all part of the Toehider catalog. For PP fans, I would recommend starting with their latest album Good and working backwards. Good is only 38 minutes but is amazing and gives a nice look at the different styles Mills writes. I truly believe they would kill it in Atlanta sometime down the line.
