so my posse and i made it to studio coast with no issue thanks to the brilliant directions from my homeboy, hopeless. once we hit shin-kiba, all we had to do was follow the masses of sexy metal japanese girls with CoB shirts to the venue. i was a little miffed when all that remains didn't show. they lost a few cool points, but outrage gained some. i got to see outrage play last year at loud park '07. they are actually pretty beast. i recommend you guys check them out if you haven't already.
after outrage's set, the crowd went apeshit for CoB...us included. they opened with sixpounder, which got everyone all fuckin' pumped right off the bat. japanese people don't really seem to like moshing, but we sure as hell were tearing it up out there. i got all jacked up on redbulls before the show, and they all hit me right towards the middle of CoB's set. when i heard the opening to living dead beat, i fucking lost it. my bros and i were absolutely ravishing the pit, and then alexi pointed us out before needled 24-7 and was like "i want to see another big fucking pit right there motherfuckers!" badass. so we obliged. we got to cool down when they busted out angels don't kill and banned from heaven, but we tore it up again when they played trashed, lost & strungout. it was fucking amazing. and that was all just the first night!
we got to studio coast about 2 hours early on the 6th, so we pounded some chu-hi's and got all pumped for round 2. outrage opened again, which was cool and gay at the same time. i got all the way up on the rails for CoB this time. it was definitely worth it. my homeboys were thrashing the pit again, and i would have loved to be in there with them, but i was about 4 feet from the band for the whole show. it was incredible. i got to hi-5 everyone in the band after the show, and henkka threw me his wrist band. fuckin' sweet.
so, after a few cuts, a few bruises, and a sore fucking neck, i can finally say that i got to see my idols. live. two days in a row. bitchin'.
