Hi,

I know, this isn't specifically a Nightingale Forum but I hope that Tom is reading here too :) Well I'd like to know what hardware Tom's playing on. Especially the sound of the China he plays on the White Darkness Album got my attention :)

Btw. I'm must confess that I'm not too glad about the choice to make a myspace only website as you have to register with them for just anything. But besides that, I'm just friggin loving Nightingale and I'm a big fan of Dan's work since I heard Spectral Sorrows more than a decade ago!

Tom play 3 different chinas on WD. 1 Normal Zildijan 20" (I think) china ...with a red logo, some little obscure serie of cymbals...
1 24" !!!!!!!!!! that I bought for him just because it sounded like the china on Sin After Sin!!!
He used that for Hideaway. In the solosection you can hear it smash away...just like Simon....
The third is a smaller one, from Wuhan that he uses more like a splash..
The crashes are all A-customs 19 or bigger and his hi-hat is (from hell) a dyno beat or something...from zildijan and the thickest fuck you will ever see!!!

I'm gonna throw in my 2 cents here....

The "red logo" Zildjian China Dan is talking about is from the "Oriental" series, could be either a 20" Oriental china trash, or a 20" Oriental classic china...I'll have to listen a bit closer next time...

...and the hi-hats are Zildjian Z custom "dyno beat" and Dan is not kidding, those suckers are thiiiiiiiick.

Dan is right about the Sin after Sin bit, Simon always plays gigantic chinas!
