Tone comparison, what would you choose?

A sits a little better but with this type of playing, it sounds wayyyy messy. Only way I can describe it. If B were a bit smoother, it'd be perfect.

Both tones are sweet though. Details on them? I can't seem to ever get this amount of detail and clarity out of my tones...

I'm happy with what I can coax once all is said and done, but it only sounds cool in the 'whole' picture and doesn't have much nuance' to it like the best dudes tones do around here... ie; Lasse, you, Mark Lewis, etc.... they all have a VERY similar, almost rubber-bandy quality to them that makes them glue like crazy but still have all the detail and nuanced euphonic stuff going on..

Against all, I am really into B. It has a bitchin' nasty (good) upper crunch to it that really seems to work for that song. Cuts through better for me on ipod headphones.

Thanks guys... It's 2 different speakers on my Mesa cab... just re-evaluating the cab because the guitars are tuned in a slightly higher register than I normally record. Mics are the usual on/off axis array.

"B" really does have that Swedish thing going on, doesn't it? I might keep that in mind for some of the heavier stuff. The song is a cover from my cousin's old hardcore band called "Columbian Necktie." Hopefully I can get the vocals finished soon.

Anyway, thanks again for the feedback! Comments are always appreciated!

I think if you get rid of some of the harshness on B it would be better than A because it doesn't have the slight boxiness A has. A is smoother, though.
