Toneport future.

Do you think the Toneport will be upgradable to Line 6's future technologies?. I mean, it emulates the amps by software not hardware.

For as cheap as it is I say probably not.

I guess so. There are 5 model packs (metal, classic, fx, bass, power) and it seens that this hardware lock (a pack can only be used by one Line6 device at a time) worked like a charm to stop the piracy (ever heard of someone who cracked their technology? I don´t).

I meant that I doubt that they will bother making the technology compatible (enter the pod 2.0 vs. the podxt). Or if they do it will cost you.

They might the pod 2.0 and xt are probably a bad comparison but still I don't think so.
