Tool

The 10,000 days CD case is the fucking coolest I have ever seen. As for the album... I like it. It is fairly mellow for most of the album, but they do reach peaks on a couple songs that are really nice. The main thing I like about this album is that it mixes all of their old styles. for isntance The Pot, to me, seems alot like the song structuring they did on Opiate. More rock influanced. I cant quite put my finger on it all, but I can hear all the old tool sounds in this album.

I have heard rumors that this is to be the final album. I think it would be a good album to leave it at. I was hopeing for a bit more, but I am satisfied.

BTW Tool always has the best live performances. Their concerts are spiritual experiances.

im with you about the concert experience. goes way beyond just music.

Undertow was good. I can't seem to get into Tool these days. Maybe it is the whole "Maynard the drug shaman" gimmick, or maybe it is because their albums are starting to sound the same. They put out some quality material in the past, but they are not the second coming of Pink Floyd as some would you believe. Just an opinion. 10,000 Days is just Lateralus re-visisted.

I didnt like the album at first, because I compared it to Aenima. But wtf, Aenima was released like, 12 years ago?

Now the album is steady growing on me. I wouldnt call it "a great album" yet, but I might in a year or so..

i used to be a fan but all their music consists of the same repetative riff, so i got tired of it. good lyrics though. i hate a perfect circle though. theyre like a gay tool that just couldnt cut it but made a few bucks whoring themselves out to treehuggers and stoners

Tool is great the new album was really good I thought. I mean there is no song on it that matchs up to Schism or there other great stuff but to me it has a mix of classic tool and Pink Floyd

The new album is....different, than others.Just makes nice mood, when you're focused on such things as reading your favourite book, or watching paintings (it compares to my favourite painter), but I think it's not good to focus only on it. I mean, it was made to do the mood, the backing of another act. The most I love Aenima, Eulogy.F(@#$%) great!

I must try this! I haven't been drawn to listen to this album at all since the week after I got it. It seems to lack the attention-grabbing power of the first 3 albums.
