What I was really trying to figure out was what the hell did they improve on and how much the improved on it.

Been there done that.....there is no real info on the actual working behind it...I just sent an email off to there support trying to get more information....we will see what happens

What you don't think I am telling the truth.......why anyone would get worked up about some internet post and start yelling at me is besides me....but to each there own you know....i have not walked in his shoes....I don't know what pushes his buttons...but like I said if I did it was by mistake....I actually value some of the stuff he has posted....

How could I have not answered your question? TPC and TPCII are the same, only one is improved over the original. So, if the original kicked ass at converting and compressing 32-bit files into 16-bit files and keeping a shitload of the quality intact...then TPCII could only be better at doing that. Same thing with any update for any peice of software. When you upgrade from version 1.0 to 1.3....there's not much of a difference, maybe it's just easier to do one simple task, or maybe they changed how something looks...or whatever they noticed on certain machines this function doesn't work as smoothly so they fixed it. Tiny little things to perfect it. Same case here.

I'm really unable to see how any of this is still missing the mark of your question. One is the original, one is an improved version. They both do the same exact thing. Use your imagination. Jesus.

I guess part of the fault is with the way I worded my question.....coming from an engineering background I tend to want to know more so of how it works then what it does…..like I said I knew everything you have been posting already…..I am more so interested in what they improved internally then externally….yes I know there is theoretically going to be an improvement on the RAM hit but why….what did they “tweak”…..are there any numbers on how much of a file compression improvement there is……I am curious on what kind of compression they are working with….knowing this will mathematically let me know just how far TPC can go…..

Once again…I am sorry if I am getting you all worked….why I have no clue….I seriously am just asking questions and having a little fun at the same time……try and have a sense of humor about and not get all worked up…..
