last night i tried to copy some drum sounds from classic records, only using Superior 2.0 and the expantion pack (Allaire & Hit Factory)

here is my version of the Black Album drumsound.

Toms are really good. The snare isn't bad. Just doesn't sound like the Black Album to me.

+ 1 IT NEEDS more pop/attack in my opinion. did u just used toms from allaire? Great work though... i'm still waiting for that cannibal corpse revalver preset :_))))) that was killer!

yeah, its all from the Allaire, besides from the kick, i X-drumed it from Hit Factory.
all EQ, Compression etc. was all made in the S2.0 interface.

if you think it need some more compression and limiter, you can always add that in your DAW.

Fucking beautiful.

Toms and kick are wicked. Snare has alot of power but sounds a bit off from the black album.

The snare and kick need a LOT of work. They sound nice but nothing like the Black Album.

If you want your drums to really have that Black album sound, just get SSD! Now that's Superior!

raising the volum on the unpithced kick will help with the clicky sound

Sounds good man, kick needs to go up though and that snare needs more crack to it to qualify as that black album tone.

thanks for the respons. just for the record, this preset was made within 30 minutes. so, just keep on tweaking until you get your Black Album drums that you like

yeah man. you can tweak the sounds so much. Can´t wait until i get my copy of Metal Foundary. it will rule
