I think it's a pretty good list overall. Not sure about the D666, Enslaved, Bruce, & Slough Feg, but I can live with the rest.

who on this board actually listens to that Melechesh album on more than a once-a-month rotation? just curious because no one ever mentions them, barring JayK.

I like Agalloch, I do, but The Mantle is weaker than OSWP and PF.

Hmm, truth be known, I don't think I listen to ANY of those albums listed on more than once-a-month rotation. (That's only because I have so much other stuff to listen to all the time).

I think most people assess an album based on when it 'peaked', so it's not necessarily anything to do with how much you listen to it. I haven't listened to "Master of Reality" in over 3 years, for example.

I agree, and quite easily too. Thing is, the tournament only included latest albums from those artists which have gotten lots of discussion here.
