When you consider he played virtually everything on the first four albums except the solos (and he even did some of those), I reckon Hetfield craps all over Hammett as a guitarist.

I do too, considering Hetfeild is an awesome rhythm guitarist and Kirk is just an above average lead guitarist.

They both still rock though!

yeah, but Hammett can play everything on the first four albums, and Hetfield only did like 4 solos or something on them (which are very easy)

oh, and I'm a Kirk fanboy, and I love every single one of his solos!

And James has to fucking sing while playing those songs. K*** just has to stand there.

Kirk's still a better guitarist!

Yeah, singing while playing like that would take some co-ordination (sp?), especially for a 3 hour set which they have been known to play.

Kirk hit the wall when Load came out and has been thinking he is an 80 year old blues guy who has to make every note count ever since
