Sorry... I'm going to cheat and list 10. It's just too early to do the mental math required to narrow this down any further. In alphabetical order...

Bon Jovi - 7800
Kamelot - The 4th Legacy
Motley Crue - Shout at the Devil
Nevermore - Dreaming Neon Black
Primordial - The Gathering Wilderness
Queensryche - Rage for Order
Redemption - The Origins of Ruin
Steve Vai - Passion & Warfare
Tesla - Mechanical Resonance
Zero Hour - Towers of Avarice

Yeah, gonna have to do the same thing and list 10 - I could actually list dozens and they would pretty much be equal but here are some that have stood the test of time for me:

Rush - HEMISPHERES
Black Sabbath - HEAVEN AND HELL
Judas Priest - UNLEASHED IN THE EAST
Iron Maiden - PIECE OF MIND
Queensryche - THE WARNING
Scorpions - LOVEDRIVE
Michael Schenker Group - S/T
Gary Moore - VICTIMS OF THE FUTURE
Dokken - TOOTH AND NAIL
Ozzy Osbourne - DIARY OF A MADMAN

Bunch of others. Maybe I should list another 10 that have come out in the last two decades :)

I have been reading through this forum for almost a month and finally decided to contribute. This thread seems to be most perfect for an introduction.

The following are albums that I have listened to the most over the years (Picking just 5 was an agonizing process):

Deep Purple – Machine Head
Uriah Heep – Demons and Wizards
Black Sabbath – Dehumanizer
Nightwish – Oceanborn
Jag Panzer – Thane to the Throne

If I were stranded on a desert island, I don't think I could go on without these.

5. Badlands - s/t
4. Dio - Holy Diver
3. Nightwish - Century Child
2. Savatage - Wake of Magellan
1. Savatage - Dead Winter Dead

2. Symphony X, V
3. Lillian Axe, Love and War
4. Leatherwolf, Streat Ready
5. tie, Testament, The New Order and Raintime's Flies & Lies

Could be in my top 5 (above are mainly sentimental, but still tops):

I keep thinking there will come a point where my top 5 will start to fall from the list. Year after year though they remain the same.

#1 Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
#2 Iron Maiden - Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
#3 Megadeth - Rust In Peace
#4 King Diamond - Them
#5 Queensryche - Rage For Order

Britt

Interesting. I would've thought king diamond would be first for you. I also didn't know you were that much of a qr fan.

Ozric Tentacles - Afterswish

Weirdo!

Looking at everyone's lists, I can say with certainty that, if I were to pick an additional ten all-time-faves, that PoS' Perfect Element would be on there, as well as at least one Rush album, Orphaned Land's Mabool, QR's Operation:mindcrime, and a few others.
Picking just five makes me cry.

top 3 are clear, I could throw 15 records in a hat for the last 2 and be fine with whatever 2 came out.
