Top 5 gigs (I really don't think I'll ever top this year):
1) Sweden Rock (SE)
2) Metalcamp (SI)
3) Hellfest (FR)
4) Brutal Assault (CZ)
5) Wacken (DE)

Top 5 releases of 2009:
Only one really stands out:
Transcending Mortality "The Mirrors Eye"
A few other good ones in no particular order:
OSI "Blood"
Redemption "Snowfall On Judgment Day"
Freak Kitchen "Land of the Freaks"
Adagio "Archangels In Black"
Dream Theater "Black Clouds & Silver Linings"

Still haven't listened to new Savage Circus, Shadow Gallery, Transatlantic, To-Mera, Amorphis, 1349, Riverside, At Vance or Brainstorm, all of which I have fairly high expectations.

Biggest let-down releases of 2009:
1) Dreadnaught self-titled
2) Slash "Sahara" (he should be shot for the Paradise City molestation)
3) Dream Theater "Black Clouds & Silver Linings" (way too much filler ruining what otherwise should be an album of the year)
4) Queensrÿche "American Soldier"
5) Tim Owens "Play My Game"

The album I've listened to most this year would have to be Cynic "Traced In Air". Even though it's a 2008 release it still deserves honorable mention.

4. Progfest @ Annandale
3. Lord/Bane/Metal @ Landowne
4. Aeon/Bane @ Bald Faced Stag
