Top album openers

It's interesting, but for such a brilliant band as Iron Maiden is, their album openers are nowhere near as strong as other bands people have mentioned so far, especially for a band with 15 odd records.

Apart from maybe Aces High and Moonchild, their openers are historically nowhere near as strong as other bands like Metallica or Anthrax. Just my opinion of course, cause their records are amazing overall, apart from a couple.

Fair point too. Maiden's true great songs have usually been the non-openers. In fact looking at their classics list they usually play I can't think of one that is an opener.

Well Ides of March is awesome too as is Where Eagles Dare. Hey wait - Caught Somewhere in Time, that's a great track! The sign of the Cross if good too. Any fans of Invaders?
