I agree with a few others that 2010 hasn't had many great metal albums (except for T.O.C. of course). The only other one I can think of was "The Infinite Order" from Living Sacrifice. That is a good band and I'm glad they reformed and put some new tunes out after quite a long break.

Becoming The Archetype have made some pretty beastly songs but other than them the bar for christian metal seems to be set pretty low

new Mekong Delta is pretty awesome.

enjoyed the new High on Fire, though not as much as the last few.

same goes for the new dillinger.

immolation album is great.

new nachtmystium is probably my favorite metal album of the year.

I love MI. Have for years. Just the right amount of punky grind added into that death metal! It was originally the Dissent EP that really got me into them:

Holy crap, I just checked out that Barren Earth album...it's fucking Elegy part 2. It sounds like the album Amorphis would've written after Elegy if they had stayed in the same direction. Great stuff.
