Totally off topic---

Too true! Cross your fingers... maybe something will come up in the interim. :D I'm really hoping I have an excuse to go 2 places--somewhere in the northeast, and somewhere in the midwest. /crosses own eyes... er... legs... um... fingers! That's it! Fingers!

yeah I'm in on the missing people department... it's depressing...

and I have no interest in any shows coming up until March... which what the HELL am I suppose to do with myself until then?? Seriously...

You know, I wasn't able to make it to PP this year and I don't miss you people one bit.

Ok, I lie...I missed getting to see all my pp friends this year, so by next year it'll be two full years since I've seen ya'll.

You know we will all be doing the NY east coast thing next spring/summer when DT announces...I'm giving serious thought to throwing another party at Twins. :heh: Just don't tell Jimmy yet......

So that would take care of you seeing Crew, Mat, Jimmy and ME! before next PP. :)

But I miss you all DAMMIT!

10 months left which is way too far away!

-Metal

Too true! :(

--And this is completely on-topic for the Lounge. I'm not sure what would be off-topic here, unless maybe it was a discussion of favorite bands to play PP. :)

I miss the people I got to meet at ProgPower, too. And I wish I could have talked Discworld with Shaye more! I don't often run into fellow Pratchett fans.

I'll join y'all on the Pratchett discussion!

I'll never forget the year I was a guest (well, a panelist) at ChattaCon and was part of a panel regarding online fandom (back then it was New and Exciting), and Terry Pratchett -- the Guest of Honor -- was in the audience. :OMG: We were all incredibly nervous all of a sudden.

Keep me posted on that! Hell I might even throw a party if you all want to make it up this way! If not, NYC here I come!

Will do Metal. If I do another party at Twins, in Hells Kitchen NYC, it will be $36 for 3 hours of open bar and all you can eat buffet/bar food.:kickass: We'll prolly limit it to 80 or so peeps this time. Last time was over 100 and totally insane. If the dates are later in the spring when its warmer, you can join us for one of our unforgettable tailgates. :hypno:

Pellaz, next year at the karaoke party I'll snag your ear for Pratchett talk. Between people singing, of course. :D

oooh, oooh, count me in! :)

Btw, for Halloween here at work, I dressed as a vampire... and wore a black ribbon! :) Of course, I had to explain it to everyone, who kind of looked at me then like they were scared, but... you guys would've appreciated it!!

Bahahahaha, Shaye, that is amazing. I can see it now:
"I'm a Vampire who is a member of the League of Temperence."
...wha?
"I have sworn off human blood!"
...O_o Help...me...

btw, I just finished Going Postal, and nearly hurt myself laughing at these two parts:
Moist was sure they kept doctors around to cow patients. Nyer, nyer, we know what you look like underneath...

(the character, Moist, is trying to rescue a cat, Tiddles, from a burning building)
It was a good plan and it was only spoiled when he spotted the cat, downin the hall. It was watching him with interest.
"Tiddles!" bellowed Moist. He wished he hadn't. It was such a stupid name to shout in a burning building.

I'm no onto Thud! And already one of the characters has asked "War, huh! What is it good for?" :D
