I'd say, good technique, good ears, and a lot of practise. There are no shortcuts to the perfect sound. At least that's what my uncle Barbro says.

Toxic who now? sounds like a boyband to me.
As far as behindert and bulb go, they have amazing guitar skills indeed, im not up to par!
Uhm.. what to say about my own stuff... uhm, i guess practice is the keyword, trial and error, LOT'S of coffee, having the right people around you, splatt helped me out a great deal to begin with..basically i think the dude summed it up pretty much, i wonder who uncle Barbro is though.
Also Hermie, do not be too quick to judge your own stuff... i think i speak for everybody in here when i say that most people feel like their own work is inferior to what they compare it with every now and then.
Most of the time i'm just recording and mixing, thinking to myself "wow, great idea and it sound great!"... just to find out the next morning, that it does NOT sound as great as yesterday night compared to other mixes.
I know you are struggling with that as well, but you have great sound going on dude... do not underrestimate it.

I just want to know how you guys get your mixes so loud! Even raw tracks that I have heard from splatt and BNB sound very loud.

Hmm, I don't think my mixes are that loud.. I don't really know shit about mastering. This is basically all I do to the mixed tracks:

My mixes are pretty low in volume compared to other mixes... i can't really get more volume out of them at the moment, it will probably be a tad louder after vocals, re-amped diezel guitar tracks and bass are added, otherwise it'll stay like this volume wise.. quality first, then loudness imo.
I really like nice sounds. sometimes they make me feel better quiet and sometimes loud. A nice well rounded blend of noises together makes me happy and I strive for this. Bob you are the shiznit. and Behindert sir you too are also the shiznit. I'm honored to be on the same forum as you talented dudes. send me some talent fedex please
