Tracking.........why not just say recording?

We park in driveways and drive on parkways.

And seriously... what the fuck is with these prepositions? On? In? Under? Around? In spite of? Whose great fucking idea was that? That's almost as bad as those fucking goddamn vowels...

Fck vwls. N, rlly, fckng bllsht, ths fckng vwls. Nn wh nds mr thn n vwl s fckng wnkr.

Yeah, no shit. Everytime somebody says they're "tracking" drums, I think that they must be following them through the woods trying to pick up a scent or something. Maybe they hired an Indian dude to help.

Wierd.

That was the single most atrocious use of the English language i have seen in quite a while!

He's a Brit, too, so there's not even a good excuse for that.

Please don't butcher our (admittedly stolen) language. That's what American public schools are for.

Aahahahahahahahahahaahahhahahaha that made my day. And Jesterroot, it may help you to know that DAW stands for "Digital Audio Workstation," so when the 'tards ask you again, now you'll know! :goggly:

To clarify, do you say "DAW" like "daw" or "d-a-w"? I never say it as a word...I'd feel retarded just saying it because it sounds dumb. Just say "d-a-w" from now on, you'll feel better :)

I figure if you have "clients" you can call it tracking. If you're in your underwear in your bedroom by yourself with a fostex mr-8 (not that I do that, er, no not me!) you can call it recording.

I think the bigger question here is.....Why did you put this thread in the Production Tips section?
