Since the other doom metal thread seems to be more about extreme doom, I thought I'd make a thread to recommend and talk about traditional doom. I'm not too familiar with the genre so feel free to recommend me any good albums that aren't too obvious.

Some traditional doom bands that've been kicking my ass lately:

Black Sabbath
Candlemass
Pentagram
Saint Vitus
Pagan Altar
The Lamp of Thoth
Reverend Bizarre
Trouble

As you listed Candlemass I guess you are ok with the more epic side of traditional doom too so here are some suggestions:

Scald - Will of the Gods is Great Power (!!)
Forsaken - Iconoclast
Count Raven - Storm Warning
Mirror of Deception - Foregone
While Heaven Wept - Of Empires Forlorn
Solstice - A New Dark Age
Warning - Watching From a Distance
Spiritus Mortis - Spiritus Mortis

I can recommend alot more if you want to but those are a nice start.

Solitude Aeturnus - Beyond The Crimson Horizon
Fall Of The Idols - The Womb Of The Earth
Minotauri - Minotauri
Dreaming - II
The River - Drawing Down The Sun
Wall Of Sleep - Sun Faced Apostles
The Gates Of Slumber - Suffer No Guilt
Las Cruces - Ringmaster
Unorthodox - Asylum
Internal Void - Standing On The Sun
Penance - The Road Less Traveled/The Road Revisited
Burning Saviours - Hundus
Isole - Forevermore
Witchcraft - Witchcraft
Pale Divine - Cemetery Earth
Orodruin - Epicurean Mass
Revelation - Never Comes Silence
