Tried to get the Meshuggah Sound..

Well Mendel... consider my gast flabbered once again..

Amazingly close.. and considering your strings must have been flying all over the place when touched slightly, i think you did an amazing job..

That snare is too low in volume if you would ask me.. sounds just a bit too thin as well.. i liked your previous snares bettter, and i think that one would do just fine on a song like this...

Good job sir! now take a bow...

To be entirely honest, I think the drums in general are way too in the back. They don't have the sort of dominance in a mix that you'd expect them to. But I thought he only wanted comments on the guitar tone...

Hey Mendel!!

Nice nice work!!!!

It's the patch the same one you posted a little while ago? The one 'LambofGod'-like, with the BIg Bottom amp simulation? Sounds similar.

Keep up the great work! Did you programmed the drums in MIDI? If so...

...:OMG:

are you really serious.

thx for the comment ! but could you give me any advice ?

I am not saying it was bad...just that it could be better...the snare for me is the dead give away....there are a few snare rolls that screamed programmed....as far as the guitar goes....it seems like the tension on the strings is way to loose for the setup.....maybe a heavier gauge....I will listen to it again and see if I can point out specifics..

keep up the good work...

i need more sustain i gues . . . .

Any chance of reuploading this? I JUST got a pod today and I have no idea how to go about getting a Meshuggah tone (or how close you can get!) so I'd REALLY like to hear this (and get the patch, if it's not too much trouble). I wish I'd known I was going to buy one a month ago when this was still active :erk:

wankerness, you need the Metal Shop add-on pack before you could use Mendel's patch, or Kazrog's also. It costs $49.99 from Line6's website. If you don't have the MS pack, then when you try to use his patch, there will be no amp modeled, so yeah.

But, if I'm just off by guessing you don't have the MS pack, then nvm, and I hope Mendel posts it too, because I wouldn't mind having another Mesh tone to play around with.

I kinda figured he used that (some guy on soundclick with the name 'chimp spanner' who also tries to get meshuggah sound told me he didn't think highly at all of the POD until he got the metal pack, and he has some fairly decent meshuggah sounds in his stuff), but thanks for the warning. And yes I have made plans to buy it next paycheck. So I would still appreciate a posting of it, cause I'll be able to use it sooner or later.
