Trying to get into black metal...

I used to be into the black metal genre, but for me it's largely been overshadowed by thrash, power and traditional metal. It might be the vocals, maybe its the stereotypical raw production quality, but I haven't been into it as much as I'd like to be.

Bands I've listened to and like that could be called black metal include Absu, Nifelheim, Bathory, older Dimmu Borgir, Celtic Frost, Dark Funeral, etc. Who should I look to to get more into it?

Oops, sorry, didn't read that the first time round. I'm not hugely into black metal, I just recommended two black metal bands that I really like.
Not sure if those will help you get into black metal though.
