TSO Spring 2010 tour dates

Been excited as hell about this ever since I heard straight from the horse's mouth about it like 2 weeks ago. Beethoven's last Night is my favorite TSO record, and the backing band for this tour's basically gonna be the lineup that recorded the disc (all the Sava-guys, minus Jon). If Rob Evan plays the role of Beethoven, this will be one epic god damn show, fingers crossed for that.

I'll definitely be hitting the Wilkes Barre show, probably gonna do Philly too.

Thanks, DTJeff. Too bad about the "minus Jon" part. He's said that the only onstage part he'd play in TSO was to play Mephistopheles, and I'd love to see it. Even without that, I am looking forward to this.

Since you had some inside info, I'll try and pump you for a little more. I assume that there will be no Xmas music on this tour (with the exception of Sarajevo). Is that a good assumption?

I'm hoping for a BLN heavy playlist, and a light Nightcastle playlist, but I know they are in support of NC, not BLN. Still, I plan to be there.

I know. It's a very good thing as I hate going to the big arenas for shows and seeing a speck on stage. The combination of that and the prices for the Christmas show have always prevented me from getting tickets.
And it's actually technically even smaller since they always play 2 shows on the Christmas tour.

The Palace actually has decent accoustics as I recall from seeing other shows there. Would it be more awkward if they played the Armory?

Happy New Year! [Jan. 06, 2010]

Happy New Year! We want to wish you all a great 2010 and thank you for coming out to the shows this year. TSO would like to thank our friend Joe Walsh for joining us on a few dates. We have a lot of exciting stuff in the works this year, beginning with what will be our first ever Spring Tour! TSO will be performing Beethoven's Last NIght in its entirety along with songs from Night Castle. We wanted to bring it all back home so we are going to play intimate theatres in the US as well as our first ever tour of Europe! Tickets for the US shows are going to be available exclusively to the Fan Club. Please make sure you are signed up by February 1st. We expect to have everything solidified in the next week or so. As soon as everything is confirmed we will be posting the dates. So keep checking back. This is going to be a very busy 2010 and believe us, we are just getting started!
Sincerely from New York City (Nocturnal Division),
Paul O' Neill/Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Agreed. Not to mention much better quality sound.

I haven't been to the Armory in forever and only been to Palace twice so I can't really say. The Armory would be nice just because of GA area. The best place in the area for acoustics is by far the Hall but that's over half the size of Palace so too small and really doesn't get these kinds of shows. Armory is twice the size of Palace so it was probably larger than what they thought they'd sell in this area during a Spring tour. I honestly don't know how much they sell of the 15,357 max capacity at the TUC each year.

Yeah, as Rycher posted - the first set is gonna be Beethoven's last Night performed in its entirety, and then the second set will be a selection of Night Castle songs, no word on which ones though. I'm sure there will be no Christmas tunes aside from the possible inclusion of Sarajevo just for the fuck of it.

I just wish some ticket info (prices, mainly) would pop up.

C'mon California dates!!!

Sorry, the entire Western U.S. got screwed (as did the Southeast). :erk: It was disappointing that they really talked up the tour at the shows I saw in Seattle and Vegas...but there aren't ANY dates west of Dallas. The explanation is that this tour is somewhat of an unknown quantity in terms of ticket sales versus the regular Christmas tour...but they should have done a better job of setting expectations. Still, I will travel to see at least one show.

When do these go on sale?

I haven't heard a date yet, but my understanding is that the tickets will ONLY be available through the fan club...and that you have to be signed up by February 1st to be eligible to purchase tickets. Here's the link:

I wonder if the western US will be a second leg of the tour later on this summer?

From what I've read over on the Yahoo! d-group, the current plan is that there won't be any additional U.S. dates this year. Once the limited tour of the U.S. is complete, the band is heading across the pond to Europe to do some shows there. (I haven't seen that itinerary yet).

So do we have any idea when tickets go on sale or how much they will be? I joined the fanclub so I get tickets, but its not very clear on what happens next

I wonder what the lineup wil be?? Would be nice to see Caffery, Middleton, Pitrelli and Plate together again!! Would also like to see Anna Phoebe, Tommy Farese and Jeff S. Soto.

Chris :headbang:

Word is that Alex Skolnick is not touring with Testament so speculation is that he's on the TSO tour.
