Tue Madsen kick sound

and there's explanation number one. i KNEW it!

Anyway you wanna break it down I never use the same kick drum sample twice its one step further from developing your own sound/production. I have a library of my own samples but once again if I use mine or someone elses on another project Its not fair to the originating bands. Thats where metal seems to be going south these days, ever since the Pantera kick cloned by At The Gates and DFH. DOnt get me worng I love At The Gates and numerous newer metal acts, it just seems that a real kit in metal nowadays is few and far between. Good performance gets robbed by samples where they are not needed alot of the times. I hope I did offend anyone that just my old school approach opinion.:loco:

Try putting that mechanical one-sample sound to a death metalhead: He'll go "OMG these drums sound so killer :worship: keep it like that, please please please"

The bands are quite used with that. I like "real" sounding drums (for whatever that means) most of the time, but I have metal drummers always asking for a more triggered sound, as "that's the industry standard now and to most people a natural sound sounds old and cheap".

I hear yah. I just look back at all the older stuff I grew up on and shed a tear and wave to it GOODBYE. The Magic has since been cast elsewhere, where? beats me....... I'll probably get lost in the pool of all those old non confomists. haha!

I didn't open this thread for ask these samples to anyone...but for ask if anyone have some advice for the lowend in the tue kick and eventually to apply some trick to my own samples
I agree with James when he said that we should try and experiment our own things.
Tricks are good but selflearning from tests and mistakes is better

yea but some people dont have the resources to make or experiment with their own samples, so different samples are always good to have incase a track needs a certain one, i dont see a problem with it.
ha HA...excuse number 3... and i covered this in my post: "You say you can't afford to buy mics or pres for this purpose? well, use samples then... but as soon as you can, get a damn job and don't buy the latest version of Half-Life with your earnings... get some damn mics, get a decent pre. for those already working jobs, sacrifice some of your "fun-money". you know, no video games, or DVD's, or cases of beer for a while until you have enough to do it right...." etc., etc.
