Two Headliners Left

Broke rules
I'm going Crimson Glory
Remember he said that one band was like last year(iffy, which was CG IMO)and angra was the replacement
and he said he same was true, but he had a backup all set
He put the no bands from USA and no reunions in his hints to keep us from not speculating about CG.Even after their anouncement that they had reunited. But notice the date that he made that post(he broke "rules" to sign this band, right around the time they went public with their anouncement that they reunited)
Its Grimson Glory, breaking the no USA and no reunions rules
and Evergrey is the other

I did and that has not been covered yet.

Please tell me you broke the no-repeat for two years rule and brought back Edguy!

Dood. Coconut Creek here!

We should have a convoy up to Atlanta this September! If you could keep up!

I'd say Evergrey are almost a lock for the Saturday slot.

For the other one....hmm....a rule has been broken.

Gamma Ray? That would break the 'two returnees' rule in a good way.

I think at this point Glenn would be best off booking a pretty big 'name' band in the power-metal genre, since, as has been discussed before, there are more power-metal fans here than power-metal, and tickets muzt be sold. (Although prog fans may be a bit more passionate....sometimes. :))

Since the last concert sold out in FOUR DAYS I don't think Glenn needs to worry so much about ticket sales.

Adaher: You do not go to the concert? If you do how do you get there?

Glenn told me he got Emperor for Saturday night!!

THANKS GLENN YOURE THE BEST!

:tickled: This made me laugh out loud. Kudos.

However, despite the black metal vocals, Prometheus was a proggy album (not really traditional black metal at all), so they could almost fit. Almost.

Hell I'd love to see Iced Earth play at PPVII(never seen them play live).
I too would love Iced Earth, but I can't see that happening. I interviewed Jon months back. He said he plans to record the first CD in the "Somthing Wicked" story, release it, go back in the studio, and then record the 2nd, and then tour in support of it. He also said there's "no shot" of a Demons and Wizards show in the US or otherwise. All the Euro festivals have approached them, and they've turned them all down.

Have you published that interview anywhere?

I haven't heard ANYTHING from him in at least 6 months, and I at least wanna know if his back surgery went well, or if he's all crippled again, or SOMEHTING!

Hook a brotha up!
No. The 'zine I did the interview decided to go offline for a bit. I have it all transcribed. Maybe once things calm down in here a bit, I'll do post it here. Based on what Jon told me, and I think we all know Jon doesn't mince words, it's going to be a while before Iced Earth performs live.

I don't think it would be Nightwish.. even though it would rule.. especially if a miracle came and Tarja decided to sing one last time.. hehe.. but I can dream, as I have NEVER seen them...

Evergrey I keep hearing from everyone.. so I start to think this is going to be the case as well.. but someone mentioned Kamelot, is this so!? If so.. mm.. wow!! I saw them in November but I am yearning to see them again.. :tickled:

Plus, if it is Kamelot, this means that Epica can do a duet with Kamelot and vice versa and that would RULE !! But some thing also tells me... it's not Kamelot :erk:

But I never saw Evergrey live.. so.. this would be cool too!! But still Kamelot would not be a dissapoint!! And obviously Helloween and Kiske is NEVER to happen!! Pigs will fly before that!

Mm.. announce them, hurry..!!

After how ugly their falling out was? I don't think Tarja would cross the street to spit on them.

You never know, but they just did a US tour and Khan has been at ProgPower two years in a row.

Zod, I expect you will tell me what this post is all about, and by expect, I mean right goddamned now!

To each their own. Personally, Gamma Ray doesn't interest me, nor does Helloween. That said, you may get your wish with Gamma Ray. Rumor has it that if their select US dates do well, they plan to do a full US tour (as does Helloween for that matter). Though, those tours might preclude them from playing ProgPower.

True. However, the line-up, with the exception of Freak Kitchen and Wastefall, is already all Power Metal.

Not sure what you mean. Jon called the house, and I did an interview for RC. However, days after I did it, the decision was made to take RC offline. Now, it's just a word file on my C:\. However, now that I think about it, it's probably not a couple months old, it's probably more like 7 months old.
