Two recommendations for Marksveld and JayKeeley

I saw that both of creamed your pants while listening to the latest Moonsorrow record. Well, I've got news for you. The latest Moonsorrow is very good 'n all, but there is a fresh, new album out in the same genre that DESTROYS said record. Ladies and gentlemen, I present:

EQUILIBRIUM - TURIS FRATYR

Holy. Shit. This. Is. FUCKING. Good. A German viking/folk/black hybrid very similar to Moonsorrow, with KILLER FOLKY MELODIES, good harsh vocals (all lyrics are in German).. and that little extra touch, that touch that makes a record better than just "good". 11/10, listen or burn.


Next one out is a forgotten legend, almost, namely Frostmoon's (NOR) "Tordenkrig". This is harsh, raw, black/viking metal the way you love it. Nothing more to say, really, other than CHECK IT OUT, as it KICKS ASS. That is all.

Equilibrium should be easy to find. It's a brand new 2005 release and not very cult at all. I think that Frostmoon will be very hard to find, though. It's a rather "cult" band that split up in 1999, right after their first full length, namely the Tordenkrig release. Twas released on Sound Riot records, maybe it's available from their webpage.

Edit: It's possible to get hold of via DC if you have a bit of luck, obviously

based on the Samples on the Equilibrium site, it's not too bad at all. Quite fast, very Moonsorrow and Finntroll-ish. Cool cover, too.
