it's time for me to move on from my old amd opteron pc.
i want to build my own machine with an intel quad 9550.
my daw of choice is cubase 5 and i really, really want uad plugs.
so, does anyone here have experience or heard something about the combination i'm looking for.
it seems like there are some bugs with the uad2 and cubase 4, maybe they solved the problem with the release of version 5?
can someone explain to me the 'solo/mute' bug everyone is talking about.
it seems like steinberg haven't managed to make it work since nuendo 4, so it should still be in cubase 5.
