Communics new CD 'Payment Of Existence' is officially on the fasttrack towards my top ten. Brilliant as thier first two releases, with an even heavier / powerful sound...great stuff!
Especially from 1:40-2:05...the section with female latin vox over insane speedy rhythm guitar...my favorite part on the albumDivide and Devour is the fucking madness!
Just curious about everybody's preferences here. These are mine:

5. Nevermore - Dead Heart, in a dead world
6. Beseech - Drama
7. After Forever - Decipher
8. Dream Theater - Images and Words
9. Autumn - My New Time
10. Pyramaze - Melancholy Beast
Tesla - Mechanical Resonance

I am honestly surprised this isn:t mentioned more often on ANY metal forum as far as top releases. Tesla:s MR is a freaking masterpiece. I probably listened to that thing for a three weeks without removing it from my cassette deck when it came out. I still put it in on occasion and it usually makes whatever new stuff I am listening to sound like shit. GREAT release !!

What is your cat attacking in the avatar?
Trying to name 10 faves is like pulling teeth, but here is what I can think of as of right now.
In no particular order:
Vanden Plas - Christ 0
Pagans Mind - Enigmatic Calling
Dream Theater - Images and Words
Accept- Metal Heart
Tesla - Mechanical Resonance
AC/DC - Back in Black (probably hard rock in reality, but still a worthy choice)
Metal Church - Blessing in Disguise
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Avalon - Eurasia
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Tad Morose - Modus Vivendi
Powermad - Absolute Power
Well shit that is twelve, but close enough.
Her expression with the mouth open reminds me of Toonces, the cat who could drive a car (Saturday Night Live skit if you aren't aware)Why, her little green mousie of course. You should see the larger photo.
That's disgusting!Thta's okay, I know how many people in Alabama are polydactyl.

Powermad! Been a while since I heard that... I may have to pull that one out. I remember ordering their first tape through... was it Metal Edge?... anyway, it was like a free offer. Pretty sure I still have it somewhere. I think it was an EP.
So, for the next time we come visit (one day soon, I promise!), we can have a duel of the Top 10s, whaddaya say?

1.Iron Maiden - Somewhere In Time
Nice!!
As I'm reading this...swear to hell I'm listening to "Alexander The Great"!
SIT- GREAT METAL ALBUM!!!
If you have their EP, it is actually worth a little of money even on cassette. The "Absolute Power" release was ahead of it's time. It was thrash music, but progressive technicality and Euro-style powermetal higher-pitched vocals on many tracks. It was very unique in it's day.... and by today's standards as well really. If you have that release, I definitely recommend giving it a spin.
As far as the top ten duel..... you have a bet. Urban and Harumi don't count though. We can throw on a Dio and Angra song or two to pacify them. Also, if UI getr (my delete buttone stopped working just now, I have to type slow) my stereo hooked up right, I will give you a new respect for "three chord rock" AC/DC. "Back in Black" has the most wicked guitar sound you have ever heard (speaking of chords during the song, not solos.,) "Mutt Lange made himself most famous with that production.
