UM Mix CD Discussion

I'd be more than happy to make compilations for anyone who is interested. Just contact me via PM or otherwise. If you want to hear or avoid specific music, make sure to let me know. I'm mostly interested in making compilations involving black metal and various types of music outside of non-metal.

I'd be interested in another one with as much weird shit as you could put on it. Things along the lines of Current 93 and Coil.

And no, I've been too lazy to listen to any albums by those guys yet, but I definitely plan to at some point. I did check out the Cocteau Twins, and they were unbelievably fucking good.

I guess I'll post an offer of my own here. If anyone wants to hear some badass industrial and electronica, I've been steadily digging into that area of music for a while now and could easily put together a "greatest hits" mix of sorts.

Yeah, prepare to be weirded out, dude. Cocteaus are so fantastic.

 So only metal compilations, then?

PM sent.

Nobody wants your shitty loser compilations anyway, so don't bother trying to make yourself sound important.

I'm really digging the funeral doom mix that Cook-ta sent me. It's taken me some time to get around listening to the whole thing (I need to be in the right mindset before diving into new music), but I love the mood of this music. Some of my favorites so far have been:

Funeral- Taarene (I love the female vocals and acoustic parts of this song, it complements the absolute crushing-ness so well)
Thergothon- Elemental (I had no idea metal could get so slow and yet so heavy)
Skepticism- The Gallant Crow (this is some epic fucking stuff)

I love the entire mix so far, but these have been standout tracks for me. I'll post some more about the other cds when I've given them equally thorough listens.
