Saturday November 10 @ Durty Nellies.
This is a GREAT venue for those who haven't been there.
I saw HEEP there two years ago and it was amazing.

They are doing Demons and Wizards in its entirety this tour as well.
(and no Bob, that's not the debut album from the Jon Shafer / Hansi Kursh side project).

Phew - Originally I thought I was going to have to go to Milwaukee for this
(Not that a trip there would have been all that bad, but they are playing the casino there. This gig will be a ton better).

I seriously had very little expectations when I decided to check them out live a couple years back. It's very close to where my brother lives so it was one of those "What the hell? How often does a good band come to the burbs" sort of thing.

Holy smokes was I blown away. Bernie is an amazing frontman.

The only odd thing at their shows is the crowd.
I was 35 at the time of that show and was easily the youngest person in the crowd. I know that doesn't seem surprising, but this crowd didn't even come close to rocking out.

At least going to see someone like Schenker you get some balding fat guys rocking out and air guitaring and such.

I got to see them twice in the last two years so I can't really complain. And the venue they were at had assigned seating around dinner tables, with waitresses bringing food and drinks. I was one of the only ones there without an AARP card, and any rocking out by that crowd would have resulted in broken hips and cases of the vapors.

It was sold-out both times though, and the band was amazing. I'm not a "guitar hero" fan, but it was hard to take my eyes off of Mick Box's fingers when he was doing his thing, especially on "July Morning."

I was so bummed as I was planning on going to the MoJoes one, but then it got canceled.

The Viper Alley and the shows either in Wisconsin (?) or Indiana(?) where it was a 2-night stand was what I was referring to.
